The Watchmen Group Costume

This year we decided to do a group costume from The Watchmen. It was a little tricky, since there were tons of inexpensive ready-made costumes out there that looked pretty average (IMHO).

So, we tried to step it up and make the look a bit more true to the film. Some were easier to pull off than others.

The comedian is basically the pre-made costume, dressed up with hockey shoulder pads, leather pants, dog tags and some weapons and ammo.

Rorschach was dressed up with a thrift store trench coat & scarf.

Silk Spectre II was an inexpensive costume that was then tailored to fit the girl, and had some better gloves & boots added.

The Dr. Manhattan eyes were achieved by painting the eyelid, and closing the eye whenever pix were taken. It was actually a much better effect than white contact lenses with a black center.

Ozymandias' suit is a bit more elaborate, with latex added on top of a fabric muscle suit, and a cape, skirt/belt, collar, and arm & leg cuffs were added on top of the fabric/latex suit.

And...that was the group!
