Tetris Group Costume Idea Planning
If you’re making a single Tetris costume, you can choose whichever shape you want. But for a group costume idea, it’s best to plan how your pieces will fit together with the number of people in your group. Here are all the original blocks for you to choose from.

Creating a Homemade Tetris Costume
To make the costume, simply tape the boxes together to make different Tetris shapes. Wrap in the wrapping paper or paint the boxes then block them off with tape. So simple.
Dress in black underneath and you're good to go.

Why is Tetris an 80’s Costume?
Wanna know why Tetris is great for 80’s costumes? Well, for that we’ll share a little Tetris history.
Tetris was created by Russian Alexey Pazhitnov on June 6,
1984. All of
the games pieces, called Tetrominoes, contain 4 pieces. So, he took the
Greek numerical prefix for 4, "tetra”, and added on the end of his
favorite sport. Can you guess what sport?? . . . . . . Tennis! And
Tetris was named.
Tetris is one of the most popular games in the world and just in case
you weren’t sure, it has been named “Greatest Game of All
Time”.
And did you know that playing Tetris for half-an-hour a day
makes you
smarter? Yep, it has been proven to boost general cognitive functions
such as "critical thinking, reasoning, language and processing". Now
that’s a reason to play!
