Pumpkin Decorating Contest

A pumpkin decorating contest is a great Halloween party game because your guests get to play with pumpkins without all the mess! It is also a great icebreaker or company Halloween party game since people work in teams.

Things You’ll Need

• Pumpkins - one for each team
• Items to decorate pumpkins with - one set for each team. Here are some ideas but really you can use anything you have lying around.
• markers (a must)
• scissors (a must)
• glue (a must)
• toothpicks
• plastic gloves
• cheap sponges
• pipe cleaners
• cotton balls
• tape
• construction paper
• Judge(s)
• Prizes for the winning team

Setting Up the Game

Divide your party into as many teams as you want. Set each team up with an area to work and give them all the supplies they get work with.

Playing the Game

Give each team 15 minutes to decorate their pumpkin any way they want, using only the items given plus two additional items of their choice. They must find the 2 additional items on their own.

After the 15 minutes is up, judge the pumpkins to determine a winner. Give prizes to the winning team!
