Princess Leia’s Slave Metal Bikini

Her hair is in a long braid with pretty gold hairpieces and her makeup is a smoky eye and light lips. She’s wearing gold hoop earrings and a snake arm cuff.

This picture doesn’t show it but don’t forget the chain. You can use a headband or choker as the collar and get some plastic chain to attach to it.

This dress isn’t widely sold as a Princess Leia costume so you’ll have to make it yourself or have it made for you. If you can’t sew, ask your Grandma or your tailor.

For the hair, you’ll probably need some braid extensions. Pull your hair up into a ponytail, wrap the braid extensions around it, and add a long braid extension going down your back. Jedi Academy also has a great page explaining how to do Princess Leia’s ceremony hair.

Princess Leia's Cinnamon Bun Hairstyle

Everyone always asks how to do Princess Leia’s hair. Well, it’s not hard but you need very long hair to accomplish this style without a wig or hair extensions.

Start by parting your hair or wig down the middle. Put each side in a ponytail right by your ear. Then, while holding the hair straight out twist it around a couple of times (some people braid it instead of twisting). Then wrap the hair in a bun, securing it with bobby pins. Hairspray away to make sure it holds.

If you just want to use extensions, clip them into the ponytail by your ear.

And of course, you can always skip all this and buy a Star Wars-Princess Leia Headband.

As with all of Leia’s hair, this look requires a lot of it. This long brown wig will work for this look.
