Octomom Costume
I wanted to be Octomom for Halloween. I browsed online for ideas and seen a picture of someone who had long hair and big lips and babies taped to their chest. I decided to take it a step further and make tentacles for the babies to hang on.
I started off with a sweat shirt. I stuffed socks with polyfil and put a clothes hanger in to be able to bend tentacles and sewed the socks (6 of them - 2 tentacles were my arms) on the sweatshirt. I used foam paper and cut circles for the suction cups on the tentacles. I sewed a baby on the end of each tentacle. I then got a long haired wig and big lips for the store to complete the costume. It took 7 hours to complete.
