Duct tape is NOT going to fix this!

I made this costume for my boyfriend's daughter for $5.49. The bust was made from paper mache. I did this old-skool style, with flour, water, and newspaper! The flour cost $2.49. I found the dress at a thrift store, $.99. I had to buy one tube of latex paint to paint the bust and it was $1.99. I already had some red paint to use for the bloody neck. I constructed the structure for the bust over the girl's head, with an old backpack and two coat hangers. I made the gloves/hands by cutting up an old t-shirt into gloves and sewing them together.

She wore it to her girl scouts trick or treating and won the contest! She had so much fun. She also wore it on Halloween night. She was a little uncomfortable after wearing it for three hours, but most people we saw were impressed. So she was pretty happy to be the center or attention. It's by far the best costume I've ever made!
