Halloween Pirate Pool Party
Make the most of the crazy success of Pirates of the Caribbean by throwing your own Halloween Pirate Pool Party! This party is legendary because it combines two things that rarely go together, Halloween costumes and a pool! This party can be held in the summer when everyone is dying to dress up but doesn’t have a good reason too or with an indoor pool in October! It also challenges your friends to be creative enough to find a costume that fits around a suit that can get wet!
Games & Activities
Costume ContestEvery Halloween Pirate Pool Party must have a costume contest! Award prizes for these categories to mix things up a bit: Best Wet Costume, Best Swimwear Costume, and Most Likely to Scare Away the Opposite Sex Costume. Award the winners Pirate Medallion Beads
Dead Man Float
Contest
Players start by swimming and lying down on the bottom of the pool. If
a player floats up, that’s ok as long as they don’t take a breath.
The last player to breathe fresh air wins!
Tip: if you exhale before you go down you’ll be able to stay on the floor longer.
Save
the Pumpkin from a Watery Death
Get yourself a pumpkin, cut the stem off, and cover it with baby oil.
Drop it in the middle of your pool.
Have all of the players on the outside of the pool.
On ‘GO’ all the players jump into the pool and try to get the pumpkin. The first person out of the pool with the pumpkin wins!
Walk the Pirate
Plank
Choose the person with the birthday closest to Halloween to start this.
Put them on the plank (the diving board). Ask them a Halloween
trivia question.
If they answer correctly, they get to decide who "Walks the Plank" next and are still in the game. They must choose someone who hasn’t walked the plank yet.
If they answer incorrectly, off the plank and into the water they go! They are out of the game! Then you decide who walks the plank next. Again, it needs to be someone that hasn’t walked yet.
Keep playing in rounds until you get to the winner, the only person that didn’t walk the plank!
Treasure Chest Piņata
Get yourself a
Treasure Chest Pinata and fill it with Hershey’s
Treasures, chocolate gold coins, and other fun Halloween candy. Hang it
from something. Then grab a stick and a blindfold and have at it!
