Barbie in a Box Costume

I’ve always been a fan of Barbie and I used to dress up as Barbie when I was little. I saw the Barbie in a box costume online before and wanted to make it even better. So my idea was to make the box bigger.

I used a wardrobe box I got from U-Haul for about $13. I planned on putting accessories in the box so I needed to make the box wide enough for people to be able to see them.

I painted the entire box white to cover the U-Haul pictures. Then I hand painted the box to look as realistic as possible.

I got a cheap tiara to put in the box as the "tiara for you".

I couldn't find an all pink brush as the signature Barbie brush so I just painted one.

Then I put straps in the box so I would be able to walk around in it hands free.

For my costume, I made the dress by hand and I wore a blonde wig and blue contact lenses because I look nothing like her.

The entire costume took me about a month to make. But I got a lot of compliments on it.
